Reports and correspondence concerning Italian S.I. operations Fall 1944-Winter 1945. Company “D” mentioned several times and several reports concern operations of codenamed teams and “circuits”, especially “Papaya”, though there is also a political report based around an interview with Pietro Nenni, secretary of the Socialist Party at the time. First item is a report of the death of an Italian agent when his secret radio station was compromised.

Correspondence: Handwritten, effectively 2 pages, Italian, [?] 10, 1944. To Scamporino from someone with first initial “S” and last name beginning with “D” and seemingly ending in “-iani”. Context as originally found suggests it was about concentration camps in Italy. Small dense writing in cursive. Held with the envelope it came in.
