Bourgoin/Como, 1944
Scope and Contents
Reports and correspondence concerning Italian SI operations in Northern Italy that also involved France and Switzerland, November 1944. Focus is on a Capt. Bourgoin who seems to have been a French double agent, and a contact known as Dr. Como heading a chain of several agents, who made some major mistakes and blew his cover, stranding him in Switzerland. (In a document in folder “Personnel” dated January 8, 1945, “Como” is referred to as “advisor to Captain Bourgoin”, and it is implied that they were reunited after the events of late 1944, with Como assigned to Bourgoin’s headquarters.)
