OSS/Committee of National Liberation, 1944 - 1945
Scope and Contents
Reports and correspondence, 1944-1945, concerning the relationship between the OSS and the Committee of National Liberation for Northern Italy, a major partisan group abbreviated in short form as either CNL or CLN and in long form as either CNLAI or CLNAI. Most content in English, some in Italian. Much of the correspondence is between Scamporino and an Italian codenamed “Mondo”. Also of note is one of the latest objects in the entire collection, a 1/5/1958 obituary in New York Times for Alfredo Pizzoni, a banker who aided/financed underground forces in WWII Italy.
