Scope and Contents From the Series: This series primarily consists of correspondence from Samuel Watkinson Sr. (1745-1816) with associate William Meeking Jr. from 1795 to 1816, who oversaw the sale of Watkinson’s property in Lavenham and the wool business after he left. It also contains a letter addressed to his cousin, Robert Watkinson, shortly after his departure from England, dated 1796, as well as a copy of his will, a notebook, financial documents and account books, and an inventory of goods from 1790.
