8 pp. on 2 folding sheets (with early repairs), 4to. New Haven, Novr. 30th 1772. Trumbull, 22 years old, wrote this letter to Sarah Lloyd (age 19) of a prominent New York family. He writes at length and at times flirtatiously about poetry, relations between the sexes and the art of writing.
