Scope and Contents
Reports and correspondence, 1942-1945, covering a wide variety of topics but mostly originating from Scamporino rather than having been received by him. Items of particular note include:
-Scamporino’s May-September 1942 correspondence with the War Department originating from his efforts to obtain a position, which initially resulted in a rejection
-What appears to be a modern photocopy of a 12/29/1945 letter to Scamporino from his superior Earl Brennan, thanking him warmly for his service and praising him highly.
-A series of in-depth personnel reports from 1944 created by Scamporino.
-A thorough report on status of secret codenamed radio teams, 9/25/1944, prepared by 1st Lt. E.Q. Daddario for Scamporino at his request.
