Scope and Contents
An apprenticeship indenture that binds Asa Geer, "son of Elisabeth Parke and one of the poor of this town," to John Geer and his wife to serve as an apprentice until age 21. His master will teach him to write and cipher and provide him with suitable board and clothes; what he is apprenticed to learn beyond writing and arithmetic is not specified. Handsomely written and signed by the town's selectmen (with their seal), two witnesses, the justice of the peace and John Geer. Split in two...
