Scope and Contents
Report of the Committee of Claims, to whom was referred the memorial of the Pacific and other insurance companies of New York, upon the United States government, for damages sustained in suits against James Carnard, marshall of the eastern district of Pennsylvania. [Washington, D.C.] 11 p.
A claim for payment against cargoes seized by the marshall of the eastern distric of Pennsylvania, by virtue of loans and bonds taken by the insurance companies which were collateralied by the cargoes.
