Scope and Contents
Bound notebook, hand written and illustrated, apparently by Annie M. Stearn, containing the rules and directions for fifty variations of the card game Patience, or Solitaire. The notebook consists of 74 pages, of which 52 are manuscript, 1 written index and 21 blank. The text is adorned with 25 hand drawn diagrams of card arrays, mostly illustrated in black and red.
