Scope and Contents

Collection contains thank you notes addressing members of the United States' Commission for Relief thanking them for contributing to the feeding of starving Belgian children during the height of WWI in February 1915. Correspondence are written in Belgian French, by school children from Tournai (Hainaut Province), provide praise to the United States, the Belgian King, and express other nationalist sentiments in the face of war and adversity.
