Scope and Contents

Series contains correspondence, journals, and other personal papers and manuscripts related to Edward V. Wratislaw. Journals span the 1800s, and cover Wratislaw's youth in the 1830s-1840s, as well as his experiences during the Revolution of 1848, and time spent as a soldier during the U.S. Civil War. They discuss locations, dates, and provide descriptions of places and events during this period, as well as discussing army life.
