Scope and Contents
Series contains black-and-white lantern slides primarily related to ornithological and natural landscape studies in North America and New Zealand. Some lantern slides depict birds, members of the expedition to New Zealand in 1928-1929, landscapes and plants, and Maori tribes people. Locations in North America include the Tionesta Forest and North Mountain Pennsylvania, as well as the Rocky Mountains, Yosemite National Park, the Grand Canyon, the Great Smokey Mountains, Desert Island (Maine), and Pacific Forests including the Central Redwood Forest spanning the 1920s-1940s.
