Correspondence: Brockendon, William (1787-1854)- Cobbett, William (1762-1835), 1809 - 1936
Scope and Contents
This series consists of primarily handwritten correspondence related to a range of British figures from writers to statesmen and diplomats corresponding primarily in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Letters contain portions of poems, mention of publication of poetry and literature, as well as discussions of travels throughout Europe. One letter recalls Rudyard Kipling’s plans to visit Sir Sydney Cockerell in England. A good number of the correspondence were generated when copies of materials of works were requested.
