Scope and Contents
This series primarily consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, and invoices accumulated by Allan R. Brown relating to Blake. It includes correspondence between Brown and the President of Trinity College, Dr. Remsen B. Ogilby from 1939-1940, and Trinity College Librarian, Dr. Arthur Adams, from 1939-1946 regarding acquisition of the Blake collection. It also includes correspondence with experts on William Blake, namely Ruthven Todd and Geoffrey Keynes from the 1940s, as well as correspondence addressed to libraries relating to Blake engravings from 1937, and invoices and dealers descriptions with clippings on material.
