This series consists of primarily visual material such as photographs of their house, photographs of formal portraits, and a sketchbook by Anne Watkinson Wells (1781-1836), a daughter of Samuel Watkinson Sr. (1781-1836), who married James Hancock Wells in 1810. Paintings frequently contain depictions of houses in Lavenham, England, the family residence at 34 Prospect Street in Hartford, Connecticut, and portraits of her mother, Sarah Blair Watkinson (1743-1819), from the early 19th century.
