Scope and Contents
This series contains published portions of biographies of historical figures from Classical History through the Middle Ages and early Renaissance. The selection of works also includes those written by James Anthony Froude (1818-1894), John Pentland Mahaffy (1839-1919), and Theodor Mommsen (1817-1903) dealing with classical themes, as well as philosophical thought from the Middle Ages.
