Scope and Contents

The Harry C. Boyd papers is a small collection of Trinty College memorabilia belonging to Henry ("Harry") Clayton Boyd from the Class of 1905. It inclues three photographs, news clippings, track team memorabilia, a 1915 edition of "Songs of Trinity College," and three dance card booklets.

This collection is open to the public and must be used in the John M.K. Davis Reading Room of the Watkinson Library, Trinity College Library, Hartford, Connecticut. Researchers must register and agree to copyright and privacy laws when using this collection.

Biographical / Historical

Henry (Harry) Clayton Boyd was born on April 8, 1884 in Little Cooley, Pennsylvania. He entered Trinity College from Union City High School in 1901. While at Trinity he participated in the Sophomore Dance Club, Glee Club, Banjo and Mandolin clubs, and the Chapel Choir and College Quartette. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and served as vice president of his senior class. He played several class sports and was a member of the varsity track team for four years. He graduated in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Harry Boyd died suddenly on July 30, 1949 in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he lived and worked.
