William "Bill" Tribelhorn collection
Scope and Contents
The William "Bill" Tribelhorn collection primarily comprises photographic negatives, slides, and reel to reel film footage taken by Tribelhorn during his time as a student at Trinity College from 1939 until 1943.
DVD copies of reel to reel film and still images as well as collage reference prints accompany the originals.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open to the public and must be used in the John M.K. Davis Reading Room of the Watkinson Library, Trinity College Library, Hartford, Connecticut. Researchers must register and agree to copyright and privacy laws when using this collection.
This collection contains audiovisual materials, which require at least two weeks’ advance notice prior to use. Items that cannot be used in the John M.K. Davis Reading Room of the Watkinson Library or are too fragile for researchers to handle, may require that a digital copy be made prior to use.

Digital surrogates may be provided to researchers, in accordance with the duplication policy of the Watkinson Library.

Biographical / Historical
William J. Tribelhorn was born in April 1922 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He attended Springfield's Technical High School and then Trinity College (Hartford, Conn.) from 1939 until 1942, having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. While at Trinity, Tribelhorn was a member of the Trinity Ivy staff, the Trinity College Rifle Club, Trinity Commons Club, and the Glee Club. During his time at Trinity Tribelhorn contributed many photographs to the Tripod and the Ivy.

Separated Materials
Trinity College postcards and souvenir sports programs were removed to other collections in the Trinity College Archives and the Watkinson Library.
Processing Information
Materials have been fairly thoroughly processed to the item or folder level. The majority of photographic negatives were re-housed in archival enclosures.
