Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Series 2 contains draft proposals for curriculum modifications and inclusion of the Heath Anthology in grade schools. It also includes some correspondence related to the revamping of American Literature programs across the United States to better reflect multicultural resources. One proposal, written by Professor Paul Lauter, sought to revamp the literature curriculum with the MELUS program, which assigned the Heath Anthology to students in grades 9 through 12.
