Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Henry Ferguson papers is a small collection which consists primarily of over several hundred handwritten sermons preached by Ferguson throughout his career as an ordained minister in the Episcopal Church. The collection also includes other writings such as essays and lectures, some of which Ferguson presumably delivered while a professor at Trinity College from 1883 until 1906, as well as at St. Paul's School, Concord, NH from 1906 until 1911. In addition, the collection contains a "private register of official acts" which documents Ferguson's work conducting Sunday services and other ceremonies at Episcopal churches in New Hampshire. Corresondence includes two letters to Ferguson's wife, Emma, which post-date Ferguson's death in 1917.
