Scope and Contents This collection contains a range of materials related to the life of Sydney Stanley (1805-1878), Clerk of Connecticut Legislature. The Stanley papers are one of the earliest manuscript collections to be donated to the Watkinson Library, most likely sometime after 1885, based on an 1878 bequest of Sydney Stanley.
